PACKED GOODS

Electron beams are widely used for the sterilization of medical products and devices including single-use products. It is also used in the treatment of hospital wastes. This process allows the sterilization of products conditionned in their final packaging. It is a safe, non polluting and simple treatment method.

		This “Packaged” sterilization process has the benefit of treating products having top-hygien requirements because of their final use, preventing the goods to be recontaminated once being treated. This process therefore presents a good means to treat medical products and surgical devices whose sterility level is of critical importance.

Electron have the advantage of preserving the nutrient value inherent in food and waste because electron treatment does not cause significant heating of processed materials.

BULK & FLUID

The Bulk & Fluid process is aimed for matching high output expectations with the treatment of products such as beans, grains and cereals, animal feed, but also products like waste water and sludge, with some arrangements in the conveyor system for liquid handling.

This 2 MeV – 20 kW A.I.V. electron accelerator offers a cost-effective solution to prevent crops destruction by insects, bacteria and mildew, but also to treat waste water and sludges.   Disinfected sludge can be used for its nutrient value as fertilizer for soil and ocean enrichment. Animal feed can be disinfected so that harmful micro-organisms are not passed on in the food chain, while maintaining the nutrient value of the feed.
